"Lappbacken" - means something like the hill where Lapps lived.From this house you have a fantastic view of the lake and the mountains "Anåfjället", "Flatruet" and "Helagsfjället", Sweden's southernmost glacier.There are no other houses in sight.The last part of the way to the house "Lappbacken" is a private way.During the winter months you cannot drive up to the house by car.The owner, Jan Mickelsson, will snowmobile you and your luggage the last 1000 meters to the house.The house is 55 square meters.It has a combined living room/kitchen, two bedrooms, shower and sauna.The bio-toilet is outside the house.At the back of the house there is an earth cellar for groceries.In summer you have running water in the house, in winter you can use the hand pump 20 meters away.The house is heated with wood over a stove.The kitchen is equipped with a gas cooker.Power is supplied by a small solar system.From the terrace of the house you can see the lake "Övre Särvsjön", where you can fish for salmon trout, char and vendace.A canoe for two people is available for you on the lake 150 meters away. The Lappbacken house has four beds and a sofa bed for two people.The combined kitchen/living room consists of a fireplace with a seating area and a second sofa bed.The kitchen area has a comfortable dining area, a firewood stove and a gas oven.In the large bedroom with exit to the terrace there is a comfortable double bed, in the small bedroom there is a bunk bed.The wood-heated sauna has access from the shower and an exit to the outside. |
