Wonderful stone country house, close to the island's best beaches 

Meli Traditional House is a spacious (250m2) stone property, full of character and charm, stylishly decorated with antique pieces. This is an experience of authentic Greek living within a small mountain village in southwest Lefkada while it enjoys totally relaxing views of countryside and at the same time it is within easy reach from a selection of Greece’s best beaches (such as long, sandy Gialos (5 kms), breathtaking Porto Katsiki (15kms) and exotic Egremni (6kms) which was voted as one of world’s top 24 beaches a recent survey by CNN! The villa is ideal for families with children as we offer quite a few facilities for toddlers/young children. Its normal occupancy is 8 people but we may accommodate up to 10-12 id children are included.

Property Structure 

Meli is split into two storeys. It features 3 spacious and self-contained bedrooms (two with queen-size double beds 1.60 x 2.00cm and one with two single beds 1.00 x 2.00cm each) all with ensuite bathrooms (one with Jacuzzi bathtub). All rooms are located on the upper floor and have air conditioning, Satellite TV, small fridge, safe box, and bathroom toiletries. A large wooden staircase leads down to an open plan living room with fireplace and two sofa beds, 32’ Satellite TV, Stereo System, DVD, washing machine, dryer, fully equipped kitchen with oven, dishwasher, microwave etc, dining area, a desk and an additional WC. A traditional oven, large barbeque and garden seating can be found in the courtyard/garden. The view of the mountain opposite the house along with a valley with olive groves and vineyards provides a totally relaxed setting.

Activities 

Meli offers an ideal proposition for those wishing to combine sailing, boating or windsurfing holidays with staying in a truly original villa, enjoying the tranquility, calmness and relaxation of the environment. For those who wish to explore nature a little further, there is an endless selection of hiking and mountain biking paths (four mountain bikes with helmets are offered by us). For those who wish to keep up with their electronic interests, complimentary Wi Fi internet access is offered.

Location

All breathtaking sandy beaches are closeby and within 5-15 mins drive (Gialos, Porto Katsiki, Egremni, Kathisma and others). With just a few homes, a taverna providing home-made local delicacies and beautiful surroundings of fields and mountains, the village of Dragano offers a private escape to an uncommercialized and unspoiled region of the island. Endless choices exist for communication with nature & countryside exploration (mountain bikes provided, various activities arranged on request) as well as familiarization with local culture & history (festivals, local life activities, taste of local produce, cookery lessons). All kinds of amenities such as all kinds of watersports, bars, restaurants, ATM, medical center, super market can be found at Vasiliki (12Kms), also known as a windsurfer's paradise. Minimarkets, butcher's and bakery can be found much closer (6kms) whereas Athani (1.6kms), is the closest village to Dragano offering minimarket supplies and a selection of tavernas with romantic views of sea & sunset.

Other living room featuresThe living area includes a sitting area with 3 sofa beds, fireplace, desk area and plenty of space to move around. At the same area one can find an extra wc and the laundry room with washing machine and separate dryer. The 2 sofas are of normal single bed size, whereas we could add up to 3 folding beds if these are preferred to the sofas. There is so much space that we could arrange 2 folding beds very conveniently at a side of the room.

Location description

Location

Our location offers a private escape to an uncommercialized and unspoiled region of the island. Our village is very quiet, untouched by tourism, yet, we are so close to the landmark beaches of the island which every visitor longs to visit! Our village has one taverna with home-made food (and simply delicious!), so within walking disctance from the villa. The next good quality restaurants are within 1.5kms, at the next village, where you may also find mini-market suplies, coffee shop/bar. 

Minimarkets, butcher's and bakery can be found much closer (6kms) whereas full amenities such as ATMs, medical center, large supermarkets can be found at Vasiliki picturesque village which is also a port with ferries to Kefallonia or nearby beaches (12kms). Vasiliki bay is actually a windsurfer's paradise, but it slao offers all kinds of watersports including diving school, dinghy sailing, snorkelling, sea kayak etc. 

Last but not least, we are proud to being so close (within 5-15 mins drive) to spectacular, exotic-like beaches (Gialos, Porto Katsiki, Egremni, Kathisma and many others) some of which are considered as Greece's BEST!!!
