The two-storey holiday house CHALKOUTSI is situated on a small hill on the fringes of the village Chalkoutsi. There is a wonderful view towards the opposite coast of Euboea - enjoyable especially at night when the scenery is illumitated with thousands of sparkling lights in the distance. A small path leads from the house to the beach with parasols and sunbeds, a Café with pool and a restaurant.
The functionally furnished holiday house CHALKOUTSI was built in 1975 and partly refurbished in 2019. The well kept garden and lawn property around the holiday house and the 2 terraces with seating possibilties provide a great atmosphere for a relaxing holiday.
The living room with direct access to a roofed terrace is on the ground floor of the house. Just on step above the living room you get to a swing door that leads to the open kitchen and a cosy dining area, followed by a bathroom. On the upper floor there a 3 bedrooms (roof slope at one side) and 2 small bathrooms (refurbished in 2019). From each of the bedrooms there is direct access to a balcony with a partial sea view.
A washing machine is provided in a small nook of the house. The property has a drive way and parking area shared with one further house of the landlord family.
The distance from the holiday house to the centre of Athens (Syntagma), the acropolis and the acropolis museum is approx. 60km. Cultural sites and shopping facilities are within easy reach.
There are several beaches within walking distance (from approx. 650m to 2km).
The village Chalkoutsi has a good infrastructure with all kinds of amenities. There is a promenade directly at the seashore with several cafés and taverns where you have an excellent view of the opposite island Euboea. The developed marina with boats an yachts adds a touch of charming atmosphere to the lovable village during summer time. The bigger neighbouring village Skala Oropou (distance 5km) provides plenty of shopping facililities like super markets, pharmacies, bakeries, bars, taverns, cafés, banks and cash machines. From Skala Oropou there is a ferry connection to Eretria on the opposite island Euboea. South of the pier a beautiful, wide gravel beach spreads along the coastline.
