Property description

The two-family house is located on the outskirts of the village Bischofroda in a quiet location of a new housing development (built in 1993- 1995). Extensive meadows surround the 1000 m large property which are used for grazing sheep, horses and cows.

The apartment is located on the 2nd floor of the house. The 3 room apartment with kitchen and bathroom (all rooms have windows) was renovated in 2003. In the kitchen there is the regular furniture, an electric cooker with 4 hotplates, a fridge, freezer, microwave, a coffee maker, a toaster and dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots etc. as well. Furthermore there is a dining area for 4 to 5 People. The kitchen is directed at the east side with a view  towards the Hainich, the orchards and fields in front of it.

The morning sun floods the room. The bedrooms are functional with a double bed or 2 single beds with the included bedside tables and lighting. Each room have a three-door or two-door wardrobe. Bed linen is provided. Both rooms are darkened.

The living room is comfortably furnished with a large upholstered corner with armchair and stool and a dining table. In a separate small niche there is a relaxing chair for you to relax or read. A large TV with satellite reception and other living room furniture are available. The extra bed for the 5. person can be done on the sofa. The entire apartment is heated and carpeted.

The sanitary tract is equipped with toilet, shower (seniors appropriate) and wash basin. A corner shelf and a small commode provide ample space for cosmetics and miscellaneous. Towels are provided. The balcony (loggia) is 2x8m large. Here is a parasol and a table with 6 chairs. The balcony is facing south-west, the entire balcony parapet is planted with geraniums. In the garden you can find a barbecue area which can be used after consultation with the landlord. Own bikes can be parked in the yard area.

Location descriptionDie Gemeinde Bischofroda hat 646 Einwohner und wurde erstmalig 1103 urkundlich erwähnt. Der Bischof Ruthart von Mainz gründete den Ort. Nach ihm wurde er auch benannt. Das Ortsbild ist vor allem geprägt von typischen alten Fachwerkhäusern, Bauernhöfen und einer der ältesten Alt- Thüringischen- Dorfkirchen. Im Zentrum des Ortes befindet sich ein wunderschön saniertes Schloss, welches 1752 als Fachwerk erbaut wurde. Hier ist das Standesamt der Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Mihla untergebracht. Neben dem Schloss befindet sich eine kleine Gaststätte die an den Wochentagen ab 16 Uhr und an den Wochenenden ab 12 Uhr geöffnet hat. 2 km entfernt liegt der Ort Mihla mit 2700 Einwohnern. Dieser Ort befindet sich in einer landschaftlich idyllischen Gegend am Knie der Werra und im Tal der Lauter. Die beiden sehr gut erhaltenen Schlösser, bis 1895 bzw.1945 die Wohnsitze der Familie von Harstall, sind wegen ihrer interessanten Geschichte Anziehungspunkt für Besucher. Aus der Zeit des späten Mittelalters stammt der Mihlaer Schnitzaltar in der St. Martinskirche. Er wurde im Auftrag der Familie von Harstall um 1490 angefertigt. Der Propel war ein mittelalterlicher Gerichtsplatz der Thüringer Landgrafen, Gericht wurde auch auf dem historischen Anger abgehalten. Von Mihla und Bischofroda führen viele beschilderte Wanderwege und der Werrataler-Radweg in die Umgebung und in den nahen Nationalpark Hainich. Das moderne solar- beheizte Schwimmbad ist von Mai bis September täglich von 10.00 bis 20.00 geöffnet. Weiterhin gibt es ausreichende Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Gaststätten, Ärzte und Apotheken.
