Lochinver Holiday Lodges are set in a picturesque location, about a mile south of Lochinver village, nestled at the foot of birch clad hills in 14 acres of private Highland wilderness. The well equipped properties are set around large garden lawns and all face the sea with fabulous views west over Strathan Bay. There is a tidal island, popular with young adventurers and three pebble beaches. Wildlife abounds. The deer graze in the early mornings on the lawns. Buzzards perform aerial acrobatics above. Heron take up vigil on the rocks ever on the lookout for an unwary crab. Seal, porpoise and otter can sometimes be seen from the shore and the bay echoes with the call of the oyster catchers, eider ducks and many other sea birds. This is the perfect place to relax in peace and tranquillity or to use as a comfortable base from which to explore the area’s many beautiful and stunning attractions. Patio doors lead out onto a wooden balcony over looking the bay with outdoor furniture. Lochinver village located just one mile away has two mini supermarkets, several excellent restaurants and two pubs, a petrol station, butchers, newsagents, ships' chandlers, various craft shops, the Highland Stoneware Pottery, a Royal Bank of Scotland Cash Point facility, the Assynt Medical Centre, Post Office, village hall, Leisure Centre, harbour, Lifeboat Station with RNLI shop and Tourist Information Centre. Outdoor activities available nearby include guided walks, sea, loch and river fishing, kayaking, boat trips, cycling, golf, walking, climbing and caving.
