| The northern-most tip of Lower Saxony is home to the “Kugelbake”, the landmark of the town Cuxhaven. The harbour and all its places of interest are also worth visiting. With its 3 kilometre long sandy beach Cuxhaven was declared a seaside resort in 1816. A number of attractions can be found in the town’s surrounds, such as the heated open air sea water pool “Steinmare” as well as a fitness facility, the local spa gardens and animal park and the playground landscape “Käpt'n Cux's-Hafen” for kids aged one to twelve.
