2-room holiday apartment for 1-4 persons: The holiday apartment is situated on the 3rd floor of a house in the centre of Mergoscia, nearby is the church, a playground and a restaurant. Grocery shop amd public free car parcs in the village. Mergoscia is accessible by car via Tenero, Bellinzona or by public transportation from Locarno.
From the balcony you enjoy a marvellous view to the Verzasca storage lake as well as Lake Maggiore and the neighbouring mountains.
Mergoscia is an ideal starting point for hikes to Monti Lego, Cardada, Cimetta etc. Swimming in the Lake Maggiore (20min. by car or 45 min. by public transportaion), in the rivers Verzasaca and Maggia or at the falls of Mercoscia (3o min. walk).
Grill and garden are communly used with the other guest. Electricity and water and heating included in the price. No pets!
Mergoscia in the Verzasca Valley: The valley Verzasca is a wild valley with steep slopes and numerous waterfalls. The houses(rustici) from grey stone with white reveals by the windows and heavy stone roofs are typical for the valley. The chapels by the paths are testimonials of the religious belief ot the inhabitants.
The Valley Verzasca is the geometric centre of Ticino and is the only valley with just adjoines with ticino valleys. It is situated between Leventina and Valley Maggia, longitude 25km north of Lake Maggiore.
Famous as well for divers: The cristal clear and deep green water of the Verzasca river and the still intact valley are attractions for nature lovers and persons wanting to escape the every day rush.
