The Morbihan offers 800km rugged coast with cliffs, rivers with its deltas ans wide sand beaches. Inland there are a vast number of rivers, small brooks and vast, where druids and other fairytale folks live, according to the legends. The small island of Ile aux Moines, reached by a 10min boat ride, can be explored by bicycle.
In southwestern Morbihan, close to the Finistère border, 15 km north of the bustling city of Lorient with its renowned Celtic festival run every August. 23 km east of the charming market town of Quimperlé. Within easy reach of the artists' haunt of Pont Aven and the beautiful coastline with sandy beaches and picturesque fishing villages. The excellent zoo at Pont Scorff is just 10 km away and well worth a visit.
