| The house is situated on the beachfront. Literally every window of the house has a view to the water. It is only paces away from endless kilometers of clear sandy beaches and sandy coves. There are endless choices of beach available within walking distance making it a perfect place to take a swim anytime of the day just with your beach towel and sunscreen in hand or enjoy a nice long or short walk or jog on the beach. There are also several tavernas and supermarkets within walking distance from the house where you can have a meal or pick up some groceries, fresh produce and fresh homemade bread and pastries everyday. Children will be delighted to stay here as they have plenty of things to do safely. You can also put a pot on the stove and run down to the beach with them for a quick swim while your lunch or dinner is cooking. Orkos is considered to be the nicest region on the island of Naxos. The view from the house across the water is to the island of Paros and one can enjoy a wonderful sunset into the water everyday. The house has spacious stone-decked verandas all around the house and on the middle and upper levels as well. A sheltered nestled veranda with built seating and a large (2m) country style table are right outside the kitchen so that you can enjoy your meals with family and friends comfortably throughout the day along with a beutiful and relaxing view to the sea and the sunsets. This is the perfect place for rest and relaxation before setting out to explore the wonderous variety of sights and experiences this island of cycladian culture and beauty has to offer. Activities to do nearby include: Shopping, Sightseeing, Restaurants, Sailing, Boating,Waterskiing, Parasailing, Jet skiing, Shelling, Swimming, Snorkeling/Diving, Surfing,Windsurfing, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Fishing, Rock Climbing and Horseback Riding. There are many regions of unique natural beauty to be explored on foot on the many walking trip routes available or by bicycle, moped or any other means. Naxos is an island to be enjoyed all year round as it is an island of 22500 permanent inhabitants and fully organized and autonomous. The bustle of life may slow down during the winter months but it never stops and there are always some events to be enjoyed all year round. The best time of the year to enjoy the natural beauty of the island is the spring when the island is alive and fresh. Easter is a splendid time and abounds with religious ceremonies unique to the Greek island tradition. The autumn months, September and October are probably the most romantic and soulful time where one can still enjoy all the water sports but also appreciate the tranquilizing serenity of the fall colours after the crowds have left and the season slowly begins to put on a more wintery coat. This is a perfect time for long relevtive walks on the beach early in the morning or while the sun is setting. No doubt you will want to come back to Naxos and Orkos time and time again. Who knows, like so many others who now live on the island of Naxos, maybe you too will end up with your own beachhouse. Most of our neighbors were mesmorized by the surroundings on their first trip to Orkos and could not find it in their heart to say goodbye. | Price details: | January-April / October-December: EUR 700 per week April, May: EUR 1000 per week June: EUR 1400 per week July, August, September: EUR 1700-2000 per week An insurance cost equivalent to 30% of the full rental cost is requested to be deposited with confirmation of the reservation and is deducted and returned from the total amount on departure for the months April to September. The above rental prices include all taxes, cleaning and housekeeping costs based on a three day cycle. Cleaning and house keeping, linen change, washing and ironing every 3 days are included at no extra charge to the client. |
