Casa Sabine is located in the village of Pratolungo-Pettenasco. Pettenasco is situated at Lake Orta, to the west of Lake Maggiore. Pratolungo, a fraction borough of Pettenasco, is a quiet and small village with appoximately 100 inhabitants, situated on the hillside, approximately 150 meters above lake Orta.
Casa Sabine is situated in the old village center of Pratolungo, underneath the road but not at the road. It is a typical ancient two-storeyed house of the area, which has been nicely and gently renovated. The apartment on the first floor is premanently rented out. The apartment on the ground floor is being used as a holiday apartment. This small and basic 1-room apartment consists of one bedroom with double bed, one kitchen-cum-living room and one bathroom (with shower). The furnishing of the apartment is simple and functional and it is equipped with a tv, washing machine and central heating. A small forecourt can be used.
Pratolungo is a place for nature lovers and an ideal starting point for numerous hikes. Extensive chestnut forests are close to the house, the waterfalls of the river Pescone and the lake can be reached very easily on foot. In the apartment, there are detailled informations, descriptions of hikes and hiking maps available.
If you travel by train, you take the local train Domodossola-Novara and get off at Pettenasco. From Pettenasco you reach the holiday apartment within a 30 min. walk on the old connecting road.
