Description

Chequers" is a traditional detached wooden chalet in a picturesque peaceful
location overlooking Château-d'Oex. While it is on the very edge of the
village in a quiet and privat spot, it is within a short walk of village
center. Its elevated position means that the two large balconies which face
south, offer spectacular views of the village, mountains and skiing area, as
well as the hot air balloon field. The chalet is situated on a very steep
hill, which means about 20 steps to climb to access to the house from the
garage/car parking space.
"Chequers" is comfortably equipped, with satellite TV, video, CD player and
books and games, There is a washing machine and a dishwasher. The Chalet
sleeps 8 + baby (travel cot available) and the accomodation consists of :
upstairs : 2 twin rooms, 1 double room and 1 bunk-bedded room, as welll
as a shower room/WC
downstairs : a large lounge/dining room, kitchen and bathroom/WC. There is
also a cloakroom. Outside there are 2 balconies, a patio seating area and a
garage. There is also a table tennis room.
The chalet is fully double glazed and cetrally heated, with shutters. The
chalet is no smoking and pets are not allowed. House rules and quietness of
the neighbour chalet have to be respected.
