| The little house Peppina is situated in the countryside with gorgeous view at a hamlet above the village of San Giorgio. A covered patio and the garden invite you to stay outside. The view is stunning as you can see the volcanic islands of Vulcano, Lipari and the volcano Stromboli. In the East there is Tindari and in the West the bizarre cliffs of Capo Calavà. San Giorgio is situated vis-à-vis the Lipari Islands, imbedded in magical scenery. A long shingle/sandy beach with rocky parts form a diversified coastline. Several restaurants and shopping possibilities as well as play grounds and tennis courts are available. There are farmer's markets at the neighbouring villages of Patti and Gioiosa Marea. The house is fully furnished; basic, clean and functional. Fishing, bathing, cycling, paragliding, horse riding, surfing, other water sports, tennis, fitness, hiring of Vespas, bycicles and cars. You can also learn Italian. Sicily, the sunny island between Europe and Africa has been exposed for centuries to several foreign influences. However, today tourists arrive to admire the works of art that have been left there by all the people during the last millenium. Without a doubt Sicily is worth a trip. Prices are for 2 people. Prices per week for 4 people: High season: EURO 450.-- Low season: EURO 400.-- Day of arrival is flexible. A car is recommendable. You can fly to Catania airport or arrive by ship to Palermo. The express train is callled Patti (5 km). Other holiday accomodations for 2 - 8 people are available from our relatives. These accomodations are also situated in San Giorgio and surrounding area. All these private accomodations are being looked after by the owners directly, who look forward to welcoming you as their guest. You will learn to know the country and the the people. |
