Description

"Villa Retrosi" holiday home is located in the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park . The house have been renovated following the typical architecture of these places, creating marvellous holiday home with every comfort : fire place, gas central heating, cooking facilities , living room, television. Special attention has been given to the furniture to create a relaxing, comfortably warm atmosphere.
From the windows you can enjoy the view to an incotamined nature in a quaint village scenario of pastel coloured houses.
For those who like a more active holiday, there is the "Trasanna Club" a re-creative centre with bar, restaurant, dance floor, children playground, open air barbeque and oven (for pizza in the open air), tennis court and mini football. An open air swimming pool will be open next summer.
Close to Retrosi there is Amatrice synonym of gastronomy and cradle of ancient culinary tradition the birthplace of the famous "Amatriciana sauce" and the "Gricia" the original sheperd's dish.
You can find two lovely lakes, the smaller Scandarello and the bigger Campotosto (1350 mts), facing the spectacular and suggestive panorama of Gran Sasso.
Framed in this green planem beautiful churches of XVth century decorated with frescoes,
Like the Icona Passatora and "San Martino" very close to Retrosi, and the "Madonna di Filetta" are to be found.
For an excursion to Rome you need one day. Other excursion possibilities are Norcia, Ascoli Piceno and the Adriatic coast, Rieti and Teramo.
