Golzern - the hiking paradise in the heart of Switzerland.
High above the valley Maderna there is the sunterrace of Golzern. There is a strong cablecar going up. Then you walk on a nature street and a little path along the colourfull mountain meadows to our house in 10 minutes. 10 minutes more and you reach the Lake Golzern, which is a special natural beauty on 1409m above sea level.
During the summer you can take a swimm here, temperature is approx. 20° degree.
Valley Maderan is famous for its rich and various kinds of minerals and for hiking possibilities. From easy walking paths up to high alpine mountaineering paths you find everything here. Wild and romantic nature and home preserve area. The unique nature and fine mountain air let you forget everyday life.
Golzern is easy reachable by public transportation. Railway station in Erstfeld, bus connection Erstfeld to Amsteg. Postbus from Amsteg Post Office to cablecar station Golzern.
