| Our holiday-home in Chatt Meriem it is on a little hill with view to the Mediterranean sea and 300m away from the sea. With large living-/dining room with satelite TV-set, large terrace around the house, two large bedrooms with double beds, kitchen with electric stove, oven, refridgerator, deep freezer, sink, and coffee machine, large comfortable bathroom with tub, shower, WC, 2 basins. A safe, a hair-dryer, garden furniture and a grill are also at disposal. CHATT MERIEM the region at the sea with the most agreeable climate offers the best premises for a holiday during all seasons of the year to all those who are looking for relaxation and recreation. Leisure facilites: 8km away is the marina PORT EL KANTAOUI, it takes a 10minutes drive and the trip to the marina costs about 2 Euro for 4 persons. At the marina you’ll find all the attractions as diving, sailing, waterskiing, tennis, riding, casinos, nightclubs and discos, as well as a variety of specialities restaurants. The 27-hole-golf course for amateurs and professionals completes the extraordinary offers of the seaport. SOUSSE is about 16km away and is the third biggest town of Tunisia with numerous attractions. The Souks aren’t only trading towns - the visitor meets the merchants, he can learn how to bargain and he enjoys the shadowy places, cafes and restaurants just like the natives. Sousse is an international center for visitors from the entire world, who enjoy the traditional and modern life of the town, who want to take advantage of the shopping possibilities and who want to experience the charm of a typical mediterranean town in the big alleys. Sousse can be the starting point to other places and sights. Within one day you can reach KARTHAGO, the moorish Old Town of SIDI BOU SAID, and the capital TUNIS. Three other excursions can be done from Sousse: the holy town of KAIROUAN, center of islamic life and capital of carpet knotting of the most valuable carpets of Tunisia, MONASTIR, the international movie center where blockbusters like “Jesus of Nazareth” and “Anno Domini” were produced and EL JEM, well known for its Colosseum, that was built in 230 a.D. by the emperor Gordian. The museum for roman mosaics is also well known. Within two days you can reach SFAX, the islands of KERKANNAH and the oasis by the sea of GABES, CHENINI and EL HAMA. Or you can go inland to the desert oasis of GAFSA, TOZEUR, NEFTA, to the DSCHOTT EL JERID or to the mountain oasis of TAMERSA, CHEBIKA and MIDES.
