Surrounded by fortress crowned hills, protected by a garland of islands, crystal clear water murmuring against the quay walls, the gently gliding ships, the shiny limestone pavements, the central plaza with it's elegant Venetian style buildings, the small step streets and it's hospitable people: The "St Tropez of the Adria" just around the corner!
You can reach the Island of Hvar and Hvar town by (car)ferry from lively and fashionable Split, once the centre of the Roman empire....
