Rome has also it's attractions, where one is not directly in the "centro storico “. That is particularly valid for the area, in which the apartment Appia Antica is. As already the name says, the advantage of the apartment is that it's very close to the Appia Antica park, which does not only represent one of the most important areas in historical contest, but at the same time a green oasis with a special landscape: in expanded walks you can relax from the chaos of the city and at the same time you can see many important monuments of the ancient Rome like the Porta S. Sebastiano in the northern part of the park from which you can reach a lot of ancient graves, among of them for example you'll find the Scipioni's family, Horace's, Geta and Priscilla's and last but not least the famous Cecilia Metella's grave. After that you can enjoy the Maxentis' Circus, the "Villa dei Quintili" and many other monuments.
Also some long pieces of the ancient water pipelines, the "Acquedotto", can be visited because they are still in good conditions. Beyond that, there some early Christian monuments, like the "Domine quo vadis" church and it's catacombs. All these famous sights are right near your flat.
In addition the flat is well connected, by the underground (the nearest station is Colli Albani) or by bus (the nearest bus stop is in front of your flat) to the city center. The busline 85 has its terminus in Piazza S. Silvestro / Via del Corso, the 87 in Piazza Cavour behind the "Palazzo della Giustizia" in Prati near the Vatican City. They both cross the historical center, the Colosseum, the Foro Romano, the Campidoglio, Piazza Venezia, so that you can reach all these points fast and comfortably. With the underground you are in approx. 10 min at the Vatican City and in 20 min at the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Stairway.
The apartment is situated on the 3rd floor with elevator in a new "Palazzo Condominiale" in a side street of via Appia Nuova. It's a one-way street and only who lives there can enter by car in it. Shops of each kind can be found near the flat, just like restaurants and pizzerias.
The flat has a very spacious livingroom with a cosy seating area, double sofabed, TV, stereo with CD player, eating area between the livingroom and the kitchen with washer, dishwasher and fridge, microwaves, gas stove and electric oven; a spacious bedroom with a door on the balcony - another door which brings on the balcony is situated in the livingroom -, and a very attractive and spacious bathroom with tub.
