It iis only about 100 m from the Augustus Forum in the romantic, small one-way street via Baccina where you will find yourself at the entrance to the old Roman 'subura'. Here you will live in the heart of the antique city of Rome, the Kaiser Forum, the Forum Romanum, the Colosseum and the Palatin can all be reached in a short walk, but also today's Rome with its famous attractions, like Piazza Venezia, via del Corso, Fontana di Trevi, the Spanish steps, Pincio, Pantheon, Campo de'Flori - the entire historical city center in short - can all be reached by foot from the house. For those who love food, you are also at the right place! The apartment is located on the 3rd floor and is completely and very tastefully restored. The old, heavy wood ceilings were preserved and give the apartment a cozy ambiance. The cotto-floors with warm tones are completely new and the furnishing combines antique-rustic with modern elements. The apartment itself is made up of a spacious living-dining room with chairs and a double sleeper-sofa,dining table and TV, a bedroom with direct access to the bathroom with a shower and a kitchen (walled kitchenette with washing machine) with a small sitting space outside for warm summer evenings. The apartment has windows on two sides, on the front via the Baccina (living room) and also from behind (bedroom) so that during the summer, the apartment is very cool. In the bedroom you will additionally find a ceiling fan. The apartment has central heating (gas). An iron and ironing board are also available - there is also a hair dryer and internet access (flat rate). The bedroom has a very quiet location on the backside of the house. It is very well-lit and friendly due to the large window (cannot be seen from other apartments). The rooms are high and thus, also cozily cool during the summer. Additionally, there is also a ceiling fan. Directly from the bedroom you can get to the bathroom. Upon request, the apartment can also have a cot. A flat-rate internet connection is available since nov. 2008. If you would like to arrive with your car, a garage parking space can be rented nearby. The apartment is very well-lit and ventilated because it is located on the 3rd floor and the window and the small Baccina can be opened. The kitchen has a walled and tiled kitchenette and is completely furnished and equipped with dishes. From the kitchen on the backside of the house you will find a small sitting space outside for warm summer evenings, but also for sunny winter days. Arrival and departure is possible on very day of the week. We ask you to leave the apartment on your day of departure before 10:00. Arrival is possible after 15:00. Should you have problems with this due to your flight, then it is also possible to at least keep your luggage in the apartment. The apartment is ideal for everyone who wants to live directly in the city center and still would like to be able to sleep quietly. The small alley via Baccia have absolutely no through-traffic, it can only be driven through by owners at certain times with special allowance. It also hardly has any pedestrian traffic because there is no shopping street that would attract the tourists. Other than a small grocery store in the neighboring house, there are hardly any stores or bars nearby. You can find a rich selection of these right around the corner in the via dei Serpenti, the via Panisperna etc. Short evening walks to good restaurants or to a nice, small pizzeria nearby are also unlimited, just as daily 'shopping' right from your door.
