Starting point for beautiful excursions (Monte Mottarone/1500m alt., lake of Orta, Arona/S Carlo, Rocca di Angera, the convent of Santa Caterina del Sasso, Verbania/Villa Taranto etc.) Famous for its colours, perfumes, the magic of the nature, the Lago Maggiore shows a scenery of incomparable beauty, which differs throughout the year. Here you can find the three famous islands : Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola dei Pescatori, each with its charm and different sights. Waterski, windsurfing, fishing, sailing, swimmingpool, tennis courts, ridingground in Fondotoce, golf courses, miniature golf at the promenade. In winter skiing on the Mottarone is possible.
