THE PLACE - "Il Castello" is an area of 5 hectares containing two houses, Villabella and Casabella , situated among olive groves on the hills between Lucca and Massarosa/Viareggio, with wonderful views of the sea, the Lago di Massacciuccoli (beloved by Puccini) and the Alpi Apuane. The view from the swimming pool is superb, but the one from the ancient ruins on top of “castle hill” (320 m above sea level) is magical: watching the sun set in the sea from this vantage point is an unforgettable experience.
VILLABELLA - A luxury 180 sq m villa on one level, with a bird’s eye view over the green hills of Versilia, the Mediterranean, Puccini's lake and the Apuan Alps. It is a large and spacious house with a refined atmosphere, furnished with antiques and valuable paintings. The big airy living room contains an antique fireplace in Pisa stone, while the well-equipped kitchen has an old marble sink. There are three bathrooms and four bedrooms. The floor is in Tuscan terracotta tiles from Impruneta, which are also used on the panoramic Loggia which has a table, benches and chairs for al-fresco dinners, and on the terrace which surrounds the house, on the same level as a large lawn, on two sides.
CASABELLA -This forms part of a number of country buildings located in "Il Castello” and has been restored to a high standard. The cosy rooms can accommodate 5/6 people; the sitting room and dining room with its fireplace preserve the warm atmosphere of old-style country life, while the kitchen and the 3 bathrooms are modern. On the terrace or the garden, you can relax in the sun or in the shade, as you prefer, soaking up the wonderful and ever-changing views.
ACTIVITIES – If you fancy a change from peaceful walks in the green surroundings of "Il Castello", many of Tuscany’s most famous attractions are within easy reach: the medieval city of Lucca, the coast (20 minutes by car), Florence (1 hour), Pisa (30 minutes), Puccini's lake (25 minutes), the two country parks of Migliarino and San Rossore. Viareggio itself is the starting point for boat trips to Porto Venere and the famous "Cinque Terre" and, together with its sister resort Lido di Camiore, just up the coast, is a lively and elegant seaside town.

Villa di 180mq, su di un unico livello, con un ampio panorama sulle verdi colline versiliesi, sul mare Tirreno, il Lago Puccini e le Alpi Apuane.

Arredata con mobili d'epoca che creano un ambiente confortevole e familiare, ha un bel camino antico in pietra pisana ed una attrezzata cucina in muratura con acquaio antico in marmo. Il pavimento è in cotto toscano d'Impruneta che continua nel loggiato attrezzato per il pranzo all'aperto con tavolo, e sulla terrazza che gira intorno alla casa al livello di un ampio prato, che abbraccia la casa su due lati.
La piscina ( mt 4 per mt 8 )con l'ampio solarium poco distante dalla villa si trova in posizione panoramica nel verde e l'uso è comune con l'altra casa della proprietà.A richiesta é possibile riservare l'uso esclusivo della piscina.
Situata in posizione tranquilla all'interno di una proprietà privata di cinque ettari di colline verdi con boschi di lecci, oliveto e frutteto è un punto di partenza strategico per raggiungere il mare (20 minuti in automobile), Firenze (1ora), Lucca (15 minuti), Pisa (30 minuti), il lago Puccini (30 minuti), il Parco Naturale di Migliarino-S.Rossore ed il Parco Naturale delle Alpi Apuane, Volterra, S. Gimignano, Siena. E' luogo ideale per passeggiate ed escursioni a piedi ed in mountainbike e nel raggio di une ventina di chilometri è possibile raggiungere centri ove praticare l'equitazione (anche associata con escursioni naturalistiche all'interno del Parco Naturale di Miglarino), il golf, il windsurf, la vela.
