The apartment is situated in Pratolungo-Pettenasco. This is at the Lake Orta, west of Lake Maggiore. Pratolungo is a restful little village with 100 residents, located on the hillside, approx. 150m higher than Pettenasco and the Lake Orta. The apartment is in the old village centre and offers views of Pescone Valley and the foot of the Mottarone.
The vacation apartment is situated on the first floor above the owners‘ flat and has a balcony towards a nice little flowery courtyard. An outside stair leads from the courtyard up to the entrance of the vacation apartment.
It has one double bedroom, one single bedroom (with an additional fold-up bed), one spacious and sunny livingroom with a pull-out sofa (= double bed), a bathroom and a bright living-kitchen. It is equipped with a sat-TV, a telefone and central heating system. Moreover, there is a piano and an extensive library with mostly german and english books. This modern yet charming apartment has been equipped and furnished with much care and love, in order to create for each room an individual character.
The courtyard and the garden furniture as well as the owners‘ washing machine and 3 bicycles can be co-used.
Pratolungo is suitable for nature lovers and an ideal starting point for numerous hikes. Chestnut forests begin by the house, the waterfalls of the river Pescone and the lake are easily accessible on foot. In the apartment, there are detailled informations, descriptions of hikes and hiking maps available.
If you travel by train, you take the local train Domodossola-Novara and get off at Pettenasco. From Pettenasco you reach Pratolungo within a 30min. walk on the old connecting road.
